Nashville Hot Seasoning: 7 Ways

Anyone else store their seasonings in a drawer in their kitchen? When I moved last year, I decided instead of putting my seasonings in the cupboard, I’d have them in a drawer so I can see them all and know what I have to work with. The first row is my most-used seasonings – ones that I cook with multiple times a week and sometimes use daily. The row goes like this: Seasoned Salt, Seasoned Pepper, Onion Onion Seasoning, Garlic Garlic Seasoning, Nashville Hot Seasoning. Yup, Nashville Hot Seasoning has made it the all-star position in my spice drawer.

Ever since making the Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders, I realized that this seasoning is so much more than just for Nashville Hot Chicken. It’s a salty, medium-hot spice with just a little hint of smooth sweetness. It is so versatile, and I find myself bringing the seasoning jar to the dinner table some nights. It’s great simply sprinkled on top of any dish that might need just a pop of flavor. Sprinkling it on scrambled eggs or buttered popcorn is an easy way to add flavor quickly!

Here are a few of my favorite Nashville Hot Seasoning recipes:
